Havenly Getaways Cancellation Policy
At Havenly Getaways, we aim to provide a fair and transparent cancellation policy that balances flexibility for guests with reliability for our hosts. All bookings include a 24-hour free cancellation period: Guests can cancel within 24 hours of booking confirmation for a full refund (including taxes except transfer fees), provided the booking was made at least 7 days before check-in.
Cancellation deadlines are based on the local time at the property. Refunds are processed to the original payment method. Havenly Getaways service fees are non-refundable except during the free cancellation period or under extenuating circumstances.
Cancellation Policy
- Full refund if cancelled at least 24 hours before check-in.
- If cancelled less than 24 hours before check-in: Refund for unused nights (minus the first night and service fees).
- Full refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in (except transfer fees).
Long-Term Stays (28 Nights or More)
- Full refund if cancelled at least 30 days before check-in.
- No refund if cancelled less than 30 days before check-in (except for extenuating circumstances).
Guest Cancellations
- Guests can cancel via their account dashboard.
- Refunds exclude non-refundable fees where applicable.
Host Cancellations
Host cancellations are rare and disruptive. If a host cancels a confirmed booking:
- The guest receives a full refund.
- Havenly Getaways may assist the guest in rebooking a similar property at comparable pricing (subject to availability).
- The host may face penalties, including:
- Fees deducted from future payouts.
- Calendar blocks for the cancelled dates.
- Potential impact on listing visibility.
- No payout for the canceled reservation.
Penalties may be waived for valid extenuating circumstances (e.g., property damage, emergencies, or major disruptive events like natural disasters). Hosts must provide documentation.
Hosts should never cancel for discriminatory reasons or in violation of our policies.
Extenuating Circumstances Policy
This overrides the selected policy in rare cases of unforeseeable events beyond a party’s control, such as:
- Natural disasters or severe weather.
- Government travel restrictions.
- Pandemics or public health emergencies.
- Serious illness or injury (with documentation).
Personal events like non-emergency travel changes are not covered. Guests or hosts must provide evidence, and Havenly Getaways will review on a case-by-case basis.
